Paddle the Gem of South County
from our waterfront location on beautiful NARROW RIVER!
let our courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable staff
launch you on your next adventure!
Paddle for a couple of hours up to a full day from the convenience of a waterfront location at our Narrow River Outpost. We are here to provide you with a hassle-free experience so you can focus more of your time and energy on the water! Our staff will help you choose the right equipment, set it up for you at our private launch, provide basic paddle and safety instruction, and answer all your questions about the watershed and paddle routes. We are a low-key, laid back, friendly and locally-owned business of over 30 years at this beautiful location at the doorstep of the John H. Chafee National Wildlife Refuge. The Pettaquamscutt River, commonly known as Narrow River, is a tidal inlet comprised of a 500 plus acre cove and wildlife refuge, a fjord-like lake, a brackish pond, and two freshwater ponds at the head of the watershed. It empties through the “narrows” into the Atlantic at the northern end of Narragansett Beach. This unique and diverse waterway offers something for all levels of paddlers and outdoor enthusiasts.
