Dear Narrow River Kayaks Customers, Friends and Supporters,
On behalf of my family, Narrow River Kayaks staff and myself, I offer you our sincerest gratitude for your recent support.  Whether you signed our petition to save Narrow River Kayaks, wrote a comment or sent a letter to the Town Council, attended and/or spoke at the Narragansett Town Hall Meeting on October 7, or just kept us in your thoughts and prayers, your kind gesture made a difference and is something we will never forget.  With your support, we were able to convince the Narragansett Town Council that this matter, at the very least, merits more thought and further discussion before simply handing over the location to another outfitter.  In the end, the Town Council rejected the motion to award the lease to the highest bidder and approved a motion to toss out the current bid altogether.  While the outcome remains to be seen, Narrow River Kayaks is still in the picture.  Words cannot express how much your support means to us.  Stay tuned!

Narrow River Kayaks

Narrow River Kayaks was the vision of the late Robert Ryder and established in 1992.  Since then it has served as a means for many to enjoy one of the area's most unique and beautiful waterways.

The Pettaquamscutt Watershed area provides a number of options for paddlers of all ages and abilities.  One can paddle a short distance to the beach and ocean to ride the waves, fish, picnic, or just relax.  Also a short distance from our location are Pettaquamscutt Cove and the John H. Chafee Wildlife refuge.  Those wishing to paddle longer distances can venture upstream to the kettle ponds and Gilbert Stuart Birthplace.

Narrow River Kayaks also sells new and used kayaks and an assortment of accessories including dry bags, waterproof containers, pfd's, paddles, paddle leashes, tow ropes, sunglass lanyards, boat sponges, and foam blocks and straps for kayak and canoe transportation.

All rentals include paddle, pfd (personal flotation device), and basic instruction.

Outdoor shower, changing tents, and portable restrooms on site.

Narrow River Kayaks accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

We look forward to seeing you soon, and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to give us a call!

Stay tuned for information and happenings during the 2014 Paddle Season!
